Salvage Site Lead


The kitchen salvage site lead role is an "on-call" position within Habitat for Humanity Heartland. The salvage lead is responsible for participating in cabinet removal at customers' homes. The hours of work will vary depending on the amount of donations from customers. The salvage leads will be expected to attend the homes of customers wanting to donate their original cabinetry to our Heartland ReStores and ensure the customer's home has minimal disruption during the removal process. The salvage lead will report to the Salvage Co-Ordinator who will direct their work and create the schedule of work. 



  • Attend salvage appointments when scheduled 

  • Remove cabinetry from customers' homes 

  • Communicate with the Salvage Co-Ordinator 

  • Inform donors of the process of cabinet removal 

  • Work with volunteers  

  • Ensure work is completed in the time allotted 

  • Clean the work area  



  • experience in home renovations or construction an asset
